About

Our acorns are gathered from local Liveoak trees around Austin, Texas and wrestled away from the clutches of vicious squirrels by local gatherers, families, and individuals in various areas of Austin. There are no artificial flavorings, preservatives, or food coloring added to the ingredients. Rest assured that our acorn tea is made with only 100% roasted acorns and nothing else.

Our acorns are harvested each fall and turned to tea with a proprietary all-natural process, which includes only acorns and filtered water. Our LiveOak acorn tea has undergone years of testing and development to utilize and retain the acorn’s valuable properties. At the same time, this process brings out the best of its unique flavors.

Liveoak trees are very abundant and grow wild in the area. Many types of acorns have been used as medicines as well as food sources for ages in numerous cultures and of course are still utilized by the local animals.

Live oak trees utilized by Live Oak Wellness Concepts, LLC in Austin, Texas have always been part of Austin’s unique heritage. These trees grow wild throughout the area, providing a major source of nutrition to many of our local animals.

Liveoaks are very hearty, long-lived trees that are able to thrive in our highly variable weather conditions. These trees were long used by indigenous cultures as a valuable food source. Like the Ginko tree in Asia, Live Oaks can live many hundreds of years, and some estimates say can live to be over 1000 years old. Such attributes are highly sought after in herbal medicine and culture, and we believe the Live Oak to be our very own local version of one of the most sought after plants in Asia, South America, and other parts of the world, containing many healthy attributes to products derived from it.
